A book lover's haven

Enid Blyton's best known magical adventure series is all about a very special tree, THE FARAWAY TREE. Thousands of children have climbed the Faraway Tree, ever since Enchanted Wood was published in 1939. Our protagonists are Jo, Bessie and Fanny, around the ages 8-12: their father's gotten a new job in the countryside, and they're excited to live in the country.                  And what do you think they find?? As is obvious from the title of the first book, they very conveniently get a home just beside an enchanted wood (often wish I did). For a few days, they remain apprehensive about entering the mysterious looking wood, but finally their curiosity leads them to wisdom, and they seize their opportunity.      Reading about their wonderful friendships and thrilling adventures brightened my childhood. (I've already read The Folk of The Faraway Tree 4 times already, and am willing to read it again) If you're one of the old guard who read it in your childhood, or eve
