It's Time To Live...007 with James Bond

It is September 2021, No Time To Die approaches its 8th or 9th release date after getting postponed again and again, I have a tiny bit of free time, and voila...here's Ian Fleming's master spy, at your service, with ePubs and Walther PPK's (I have the former, he only has the latter). Jokes aside, James Bond has become the world's most famous spy. Who's Jason Bourne? Only Johnny English came close to dethroning Mr. Bond, and even he failed. But if you've seen the movies, from Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Brosnan and finally the inimitable Mr Craig (I know I missed one guy), you might be expecting a pranksterish witty one-liner-shooting English gentleman; AHOY. James Bond is NOT a gentleman. If he'd lived in our times he'd already have gone to several jails, thrown there by the #METOO brigade. He kills who he has to, and doesn't shed one bloody tear (cue "The bitch is dead"). Oh, he's very much human, full of faults; the author, Ian Fleming, ...

Colonel Race

In a weird anomaly, I'm not going to introduce Colonel Race, because, duh, I know so little about him. Maybe later, one of these days, I'll add more of Agatha Christie's lesser known heroes/heroines, but for now, just download it if you want it. Personally, I enjoyed The Man In A Brown Suit, but its not much about Race anyway. How can you help? By reading  my blog , sharing it if you like it and spreading the word in general. Also, you can share the ebooks you get from here, as reading will make a better world 1. Sparkling Cyanide :                                       : Download ePub 2. The Man In The Brown Suit                          : Download ePub And yeah, due to complications with google drive, I'm tr...

Alister MacLean's: Thrillers from one of 20th century's finest

Image
Alister MacLean was a Scotsman, and one of Britain's foremost 20th century authors. He has written countless bestsellers; espionage, war, heists and tales of revenge set in every nook and cranny of this vast world. English was his second language as a child growing up, but he became one of the finest writers with crystal clear phrases and sentences that can be quoted and stuck to your wallpaper.  At age 19, he was called up for war, where he joined the Royal Navy; he was to serve at various stations, ships. His experience with the sea means his sea thrillers are the best of all. H.M.S Ulysses After the war, MacLean studied English at the University of Glassgow, and after a series of odd jobs, worked as a teacher. MacLean used to write short stories as a university student for extra income, and even won a short story competition. This victory brought him to the notice of a publisher, who commissioned him to write a book about the war at sea. MacLean produced in response  '...

The Three Investigators ePub: Rocky Beach's Best

Image
Disclaimer: if you already know The Three Investigators and are just here for the ePub version, scroll down. The Three Investigators is a series of mystery fiction books, written by various authors, including Robert Arthur, William Arden, M.V Carey and Marc Brandel. Some years later, another spinoff named Three Investigators Crimebusters was published.  Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw and Bob Andrews are the Three Investigators. Set in California, near Hollywood, in a fictional town named Rocky Beach. Far from being rich and affluent like the Hardy Boys or like Nancy Drew, they are relatively grounded financially. Jupiter is an orphan living with his Uncle, who owns and runs a Salvage Yard. Pete and Bob may have relatively well to do parents, but neither are they pampered.  All three are often made to work at the salvage yard by Jupiter's aunt Mathilda for pocket money, who believes that a working boy is a good boy. Jupiter, who is rather stocky and not one to indulge in phys...

Enid Blyton's Famous Five: Funnily her most famous book series!! (ePub downloads)

Image
The Famous Five are Enid Blyton's greatest and most famous creations. The first book, Five on a Treasure Island, was published in 1942. Like all of her works, this series is also a timeless classic, and has appealed to at least 3 generations of children. If you read it today in 2020, it will still have its original appeal. The times may be different, the technology archaic, but the beauty of the world, and the freedom which the protagonists possess inculcate a love of freedom in the reader. Some concepts might seem weird, but remember these were written more than half a century ago, in a time when cigarette smoking was thought to steady the nerves and when drinking-n-driving was the norm. The books also follow a floating timeline, which means that years pass by without much ageing on the part of the characters. The books feature Julian and his younger siblings Dick and Anne, and their cousin Georgina (who hates her name and wants to be called George). The animal companion for th...
