Join another of Blyton's quartets; The Adventurous Four (ePub downloads)

Image
Written during the 2nd World War, this two book series is one of Enid Blyton's best. Featuring four children (again!!), twins Jill and Mary, their elder brother Tom, and their fisher-boy friend Andy. The stories are set in Scotland, and feature the sea frequently. Considering that the stories are written by a British author, set in Britain, during the World War, and feature pictures of the sea on the covers, you may safely assume that boats are obviously there. If you're a land-lover and hate the sea, your outlike might still change after reading these (most likely for the worst). The books give off a patriotic theme, with love for one's country and need to do one's part very prominent. The children do their best to be brave and keep their courage in dangerous situations. Overall, if you want to make children fall in love with reading during quarantine or any other time, Enid Blyton is your best bet!!  How can you help? By reading  my blog , sharing it if you like it...

Download Enid Blyton's Secret Series; and enjoy the freedom of adventure (ePub downloads)

Enid Blyton created so many groups (or troupes) of young children that it is sometimes difficult to remember which is which. But one fact which cannot be disregarded is that they are all unique. The Secret Series features five books, featuring Peggy, Nora, Mike and Jack.  Peggy and her younger siblings, Mike and Nora, live with their uncle and aunt. Their parents' have been lost, presumed dead. They are ill treated, and forced to work all the time. They befriend a farm boy living in the neighbourhood, an orphan named Jack, and here begins a tale of such adventure and thrill that one can't help jumping up and wishing to be in their places. Our heroes are a lot less dependant on their elders than most others. They decide to take matters into their own hands, and run away !!! The first book is mostly full of their adventures in staying cut off from the world, and how they live a self sufficient life. Living on their own isn't as easy as everyone thinks it is, and winter brings...

Experience pure adventure from within your home; read Enid Blyton's famous and beloved Adventure Series

Image
In her lifetime, Enid Blyton wrote so many books and plays, and created a thousand different characters. One of the reasons her books are such masterpieces is the fact that it seems real. You feel like being in their place, eat snacks with her characters, and sleep under the stars like many of them. You can't help loving the fight they give their troubles. You respect them for it, and admire their zeal, passion, and wit. Added is a dash of Blytonish humor, and you have a perfect recipe, not only for a book, but for an adventure. Reading her books feels like an adventure in and of itself.  The Adventure series is comprised of eight books, depicting one popular destination or place. For example, the first book is the "Island" of Adventure, the 2nd one 'Castle' of Adventure, 3rd one "Valley" of adventure. Our characters are four children and a parrot . This is a quirk for which Enid Blyton is well known. Almost all of her books show human relationship with...

Step into a new world with Enid Blyton's 'R' aka 'Barney' Mysteries

Image
Enid Blyton is one of the most read authors on the planet. With over a thousand published books, she is loved by one and all. So many of us grew up reading her works. Her writings are like windows to another dimension, and paint a vivid picture of another time. The Barney Mysteries are a series of six books featuring 4 children, a dog named Loony and a monkey named Miranda. The series is also referred to as 'R' mysteries as all the book titles begin with an R.  The books setting may be that of 1940-1950, but don't assume it to be too old to be interesting. There is little technology, and the focus is more on pure country life. Neither are the characters very rich and snobbish, as the main character, Barney, works for his living in a circus. The most prominent theme is that of lost parents, especially the arc involving Barney, who has never met his father, and whose mother is dead. Barney eventually finds his father, but to find the how and where, you'll have to download...

Artemis Fowl: Free epub ebooks featuring the greatest pre-teen criminal mastermind

Image
Artemis Fowl is a series of 8 books featuring preteen genius and criminal mastermind, Artemis Fowl II. They were written by Eoin Colfer. The first book was published in 2001. They feature a cast of lovable characters and humorous situations. The books feature fairies, dwarfs, gnomes, pixies and all fairytale characters known to man, but with an added twist. There is technology, quick thinking and a display of Fowl's genius level intellect. In my opinion, Artemis Fowl would win the award for the smartest fictional character of all time, or at least feature in the top ten.                 Artemis' bodyguard Butler, Butler's sister Juliet, lead fairy/heroine Holly Short, kleptomaniac Mulch Diggums, always angry commander Julius Root and tech geek/centaur Foaly will make you fall in love with this brilliantly crafted new world. If you want to be amazed, read on!! 1. Artemis Fowl - Download epub   2. The Arctic Incident  Download...

Hardy Boys ebooks in pdf format

Image
Hardy Boys is one of the oldest and most successful book series of its kind. Our heroes are Frank and Joe Hardy, sons of a famous detective (a.k.a sleuth), who find themselves in danger on several occasions and come out on top always. The series involves every known trope of the genre, including ham radio, secret panels, boating, skating, snowboarding, cryptography, flying, treasure hunting, espionage, camping, and everything else under the sun. The adventures occur in all different parts of the globe, including Africa, Mexico, Iceland, Scotland and all the states of the USA.      The Tower Treasure, published in 1927 Generations of boys (and girls maybe), have grown up reading the Hardy Boys. Their adventures might seem far-fetched and unlikely to happen in real life, but their methods are not. One gets a different sense of reality while reading these. The characters were created by Edward Stratemeyer of the Stratemeye...
