Ursula K. Le Guin's Earthsea Cycle; thought provoking and deeply insightful

When I read the Wizard of Earthsea, I wasn't even a proper teenager. I'd heard of this awesome magical world with a Magic School far better than Hogwarts. 

I was a preteen, with very little understanding of the real world, of temptations, of power etc. This is not just fantasy: its fantasy mixed with life philosophy and value education. No words I say can convey effectively what I really mean to express: just read to understand.

A latter day 'Hardy Boys' type of series, the 3 Investigators are Bob Andrews,Pete Crenshaw and Jupiter Jones. They are actually official and have a secret headquarters located in Jupiter's Uncle's junkyard (or as Jupiter calls it,  SALVAGE YARD ). Growing up, I adored Jupiter's thinking, Pete's athleticism and sarcasm, and Bob's quiet hardworking nature. These guys motivated me a lot in my childhood. I don't know if there's anything that can match the atmosphere and values these books give the world, specially not in today's romance hyped dystopia loving society.
