The Five Find-Outers And Dog: Laugh till your stomach hurts (Free ePub downloads)

The Five Find Outers, fully named as the Five Findouters and Dog, is yet another Enid Blyton children's mystery series. Set in the fictitious village of Peterswood, this is one adventure that will end up hurting your tummy muscles a lot (through laughter, don't get scared). Featuring five kids, its another classic Blyton five member team, but only if you forgot the dog.

Frederick A. Trotteville (a.k.a Fatty), self assumed leader of the team, befriends Larry, Daisy, Philip (Pip) and Elizabeth (Bets), and Fatty's beloved and intelligent dog Buster. The five decide to form a detective club early on in the first book, and from then on don't look back. 


Starting from a burnt cottage, the children end up investigating cats, (real, Siamese and Pantomine ones), letters, wax statues, lost necklaces, thieves and missing men etc over their 15 book long journey.

To spice things up is one of history's funniest antiheroes, Theophilius Goon. The Goon in the surname might make anyone think he was a thief; in reality however, he is the village policeman. He is desperate for promotion, yet as the Five usually solve more cases than him, he despises them with a passion. The enmity is double sided, but considering that this is a piece of children's fiction, that can only be enjoyable. 

                     

Along with a fine support cast, and with the best of Enid Blyton's wit, this series is the best (purely) children's book series I've ever read. Maybe I'm biased because I read it in my childhood and loved it, but if you know something better and something downright funnier, feel free to leave it down in the comments!!!

    This is hands down my favorite series of all the Enid Blyton series. Thank you Book Lover's Haven! My favorite books from the series are The Burnt cottage, The Missing necklace, The Spiteful letters, The Invisible thief and The Strange messages. Thanks again for this delightful treat!
